Douglas Mercer & Son Funeral Directors in St Leonards donate gardening supplies to St Marys School and College in Bexhill.
Jane Searston a Funeral Arranger/ Administrator at Douglas Mercer & Son Funeral Directors dropped off the donation at St Marys School and College on the 26th of September 2021.
The items donated included: compost, vegetable seeds, seed trays, grow bags, and plant pots.
The donations will be used to teach the students about healthy living, the topic is meant to help the students make the right choices when eating and drinking. The students will be able to see their fruit and vegetables grow!
The school is particularly special to Jane Seartson as her daughter Kaylee has worked there for the last nine years.
Kaylee Searston said: “Thank you so much to Douglas Mercers and Sons for your kind donation to our healthy living topic for the term. This will enable the students to learn about growing healthy fruit and vegetables that we will use for their suppers and snacks”.
St Marys School and College were extremely grateful for the donation and have even featured the donation in their termly newsletter. This is emailed out to all the parents and careers and featured on the website.
