On 25 June 2026, Molly Dowling from Douglas Mercer & Son Funeral Directors in St Leonards will take part in the Out Of The Blue Battle 5k Run, raising funds for Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team, CALM, Child Bereavement UK and Dragonflies Bereavement Project.
Molly, Funeral Arranger/Director, is dedicating her run to the memory of her close friend Andy, who died in 2024. She said he “always inspired me to achieve my goals, no matter what.”
The multi-terrain race at Ashburnham Place was founded in memory of Will Beckett and supports charities focused on mental health and bereavement. To make the challenge even more meaningful, Molly plans to complete the 5k in full funeral attire.
Molly has set up JustGiving pages for donations and will have information available at the event and at the branch.
