I would like to thank Douglas Mercer & Son for the compassion, empathy and professionalism they showed towards all our family during such a heartbreaking time. We have trusted them with both of our parents' funeral arrangements and cannot recommend them highly enough. Molly has been amazing, caring and understanding to our needs and that of our family. She has supported us through this difficult time and has guided us in making our mum's final time as loving as possible. Henk was also so caring during one of our visits and his professionalism was evident.

Molly, Nick and the team gave us a great service from the first point of contact and every step of our journey. They were always clear and precise with their communication and guided us through this hard time with dignity and respect. Their kindness shone through to the entire family and guests at the service. No question was too silly and no request was too much. Molly helped us create a unique and fitting tribute to my wife that everyone will always remember.

I have to say that I was extremely impressed by Molly and her team at Douglas Mercer & Son. Molly took full control of our funeral arrangements to provide us with the excellent support and guidance throughout. Molly was extremely efficient and very professional helping us to achieve a perfect send off for my mother, accommodating all our needs with such warmth and sympathy, at every stage. I have to say that between Molly and Deacon Eugene, they transformed a sad day into a pleasurable and positive experience, to which, I am extremely grateful to all the team, especially so to Molly, who did such an excellent job.

The team at Mercers were very supportive throughout, making arrangements was straightforward. On the day of the funeral everything was as requested, vehicles and staff very well presented and took care of us all. I found the service was fine but my mother had a prepaid funeral plan and yet I had to pay an extra £560.00. I accepted this but when I advised that we would not need the close family funeral car we were told that they could not reimburse this cost as it was included in the terms of a prepaid funeral. Ironically we were subsequently advised that the Funeral Directors would have had to cancel the funeral if the extra £560.00 was not paid two days prior to the event. This was quite an unpleasant experience at a difficult time as I had enough stress without this.

The Help and Guidance I received during the funeral arrangement process was excellent especially from Jane.
The staff were helpful and supportive on the day of the Funeral, and the funeral service was
as I had wished it to be.
